Prince Edward Island Immigration Service recently released the details of the latest PEI PNP draw.
The previous raffle for the PEI PNP took place on September 17, 2020.
The minimum number of points for inviting authorized entrepreneurs was 97. No minimum number of points was set for the Labor Impact and Express Entry categories.
In general, the specific number of invitations issued for each of the Labor Impact and Express Entry categories is not disclosed.

|(2) Impact on work||3 streams fall under the Labor Impact category –
Valid job offer in PEI required.
|(3) Business Impact||The Work Permit Stream is for individuals who intend to come to PEI with a work permit and run a business within PEI for at least 1 year before they can apply for PR in Canada.|
Prince Edward Island of Canada is part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). With nearly 80 Canadian immigration routes, PNP continues to be a sought-after route to Canadian PR.
A provincial nomination is also the recommended course of action, with the applicant ranked low on the Express Entry profile. While creating an Express Entry Profile is a fairly straightforward and straightforward process, not everyone who joins the pool receives an invitation from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to apply for permanent residence.
Application for Canada PR is only possible by invitation. It is the Express Entry candidates who have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the IRCC who can apply for PR in Canada. To be invited now, an Express Entry candidate must be among the highest rated candidates. The profiles in the Express Entry Pool are rated against each other on the basis of a number of points awarded according to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
The 1,200 total CRS is different from the 67-point eligibility for Canada Express Entry.
A nomination by the PNP – an additional 600 CRS points – is one way to ensure that an ITA is issued by the IRCC on the Canadian government's subsequent federal draw.
In 2020, PEI PNP issued a total of 1,506 invitations in 16 previous drawings.
